Our humble abode.

Here's the before and after shots:

Moving SUCKS.

We haven't really got too much decorating done yet. But it is coming along.

Oh, and we also got a fish. We think he might be anorexic cause we NEVER see him eat. I give him another week.

Brennon named him Little Wayne because he looks like he has dreadlocks like Little John, the rapper, and Brennon's middle name is Wayne. So thus, Little Wayne he was dubbed.

Any decorating ideas? I am lost.

The Cardinals

Tickets: 0$
Cardinals shirt from Walmart:10$
Gas to get out to freakin Glendale:8$
Realizing that football still bores me to tears: Priceless

I decided to use my time wisely and clean out my purse during the game. Brennon was appalled.

Also realized: My love for Matt Lienart

Mmmm...

Ok were back.

Were finally back in Az! It has been a CRAZY week with school starting, moving in, me trying to find a job, Brennon starting his, and just trying to get organized. It has been fun and stressful and SUPER busy so I had to cut blogging time out. But I have about 10 things to blog about so I decided I better get started...

The Road Trip!

I'm sure these pictures are going to be very boring for you but I think our children will one day want to know about our adventure across the midwest. So here it goes..

Somewhere in South Dakota there is a family who runs a very odd sculpture farm right off the highway in the middle of nowhere. Of course I had to see it. It cost 6 bucks to get in so we just looked from afar cause were cheap. But it was quite amusing, especially after all you've seen for 3 hours is fields.

I highly recomend checking this out if your ever in South Dakota.

Pretty huh. it reminds me af a movie, a little stream running through and everything.

Then, after a few more hours of driving and these stupid logic puzzles that kept us busy (yeah, logic puzzles) we finally got to Mt. Rushmore!

Its a bit overrated in my opinion. I mean its cool and everything but you can't really spend more that 20 minutes looking at a mountain of rock presidents. We watched the little movie about it, got some icecream and headed back on our way.

He's squishing George.

More boring pics..

These little chipmunks were running around everywhere.

So I know this picture is really blurry but it has a point. As we were passing throught Wyoming, we saw probably like 100 deer on the side of the road. It was awesome except for when one came onto the orad and we almost hit it. That wasn't too awesome.

This was the motel we stayed at in Lusk, Wyoming. Classy huh. I put up a little fight but eventually caved in to staying here. I'm a spoiled brat.

This is the puke green tub and toilet. I felt dirty after showering in it.

Lovely.

This is what i looked at for about 5 hours straight.

The only state sign we pulled over for. I dont think New Mexico is very "enchanting".

Don't mind my fatness. It is from 3 months of only eating and sitting around.

We decided to not stop in New Mexico and just go straight on to Holbrook. We stayed at Granma and Grampa Guttery's and enoyed the nice clean beds and real food. We also got to see the Hatch grandparents. It was SO goog to finally see some familiar faces. We also got to visit Kristal and her kids at the Hatch's. Here's cute little Boston. I just want to eat him up.

Well that was our roadtrip in a nutshell. I did alot of annoying Brennon and we played alot of dumb car games. Very memorable indeed.

Boredom.

On this day, I seek your help. I am stuck in an empty apartment for the next 6 hours with nothing but a computer, a bed and some suduko puzzles. What should I do? No this is not a riddle. Really, I'm bored. Any suggestions?

On a much happier note, we are leaving for AZ tomorrow morning! We are pretty much all packed up already, which is much better than last time when we tried to pack the morning of. Packing sucks. Anyways, we are stopping by Mt. Rushmore on our way so I'm sure I'll have some amazing pictures after that. We are staying our first night in Lusk, WY after about 9 or 10 hours of driving. Yuck. I don't know how we are going to entertain ourselves and not go insane. On the way here, we played the "Would you rather" game. It consists of thinking of 2 things, both either really good or really bad and the other person has to decide. Example- "Would you rather...eat a spider or a cricket, die by burning or drowning, date Carrot Top or Tom Green, you get the idea. This kept us happy for a couple hours, probably because we were a little delerious. Then, we'll be traveling to Albuquerque, which is really hard to spell, and staying the next night there. About 9 or 10 hours that day too. This hotel has a pool so we are excited to go swimming. Then the next day we only have about 6 or 7 hours til we roll into the valley. We will then go sign papers on our apartment and go to our "surprise" coming home party. Should be quite the shin-dig. I am way excited to see everyone. By the way, any reader of this blog that actually read this whole thing is invited to our party. 8PM. Guttery Residence. Who's bringing me Dr. Pepper?

Yay!

One week from right now, we'll be driving into sunny AZ! Bring on the 115 degree weather, hectic schedules, and endless unpacking!

Tonight we are going to this huge fireworks show thats been going on the past couple days. Tonight is the finale! Im hoping to get some good pictures like this one, minus the statue of liberty. Our new camara has a "Fireworks" setting so if I can't get any good ones with it, we will have to conclude that it is not the camara.

The day that made me like Fargo.

We had a very eventful day yesterday. I will outline some of our activities. (Sorry if the pictures arn't all you'de hope for with our new camara. Im still getting the hang of it):

We started off at the Red River Zoo. Its only about 10 minutes from our apartment and I have now convinced Brennon that it would be fun. And the fact that it was only $5.50 helped too.

Cute red barn entrance. A bus full of 8 year olds.

Brennon immediatly went to this tiger/buffalo, a tiffalo if you will, and wanted his picture by it. And he thought this wouldn't be fun!

These are the two little boys we went with, and there parents came along too. Adorable, right. Zoos are like 10 times more fun with kids.

These are some of the animals that made my "Top Ten Best Animals at Red River" list:

Cute little pygmy goats. Ok, I hate goats. Because one time, in high school, I came home at like 12:30, looked out the back glass windows and saw this freaky goat with huge horns staring back at me with those red beaty eyes. I proceded to scream and now large goats freak me out. But these ones were adorable. That stupid kid got in my way.

This is a chameleon. These are freakin cool. There eyes can look in every direction and there feet are like two put together. It just seemed so cool and smug, like it owned the place.

This is the red chinese panda bear. So fluffy and inquesitive.

The potbellied pig. He actually isn't on my top 5. I just thought he was gross and in need of some serious dental work.

The camel. After seeing these, I had that stupid song stuck in my head: "Sally the camel has 2 humps, Sally the camel has 2 humps...." You guys never watched Barney? Nevermind.

Mr. Peacock. He was permitted to just roam the zoo where ever he pleased. Oh and in case you were wondering, they frown on feeding him Doritos.

It was a very fun trip and I managed to get out of there with 0 pictures of myself.

Our next stop was Dairy Queen:
This is no ordinary Dairy Queen. They practically give cheeseburgers away. Only 39 cents. No, Im not joking. Everyday, only 39 cents. And there not all that gross either.
Then, I drove Brennon to work. I got a call about an hour later that they couldn't work anymore because some gay person at the State something or other said we didn't have the right permits or some crap like that. So everyone got the day off! Brennon comes home and I excitedly say, "What do you wanna do?" He gets this little look in his eye like he wants something and then starts showering me with flattery. The boys wanna go play basketball. Being the awesome wife I am said, "Ok, if thats what you wanna do..." *laying on the guilt, sad face thick*. I decided to go since getting out of the house was much more appealing.

Much to my suprise, it actually turned out to be fun! There was one other girl and 6 boys and we played some hardcore basketball. Those of you that know me know that I am NOT a sporty girl. Ive tried every sport and miserably failed. Junior High-tried out for the volleyball team and they ended up asking me to be the manager. High school-Was in track and tennis primarily for the boys. Anyways, I shot about 5 baskets and made 2 so Im pretty proud. That summer in Wham really payed off. In the middle of the game it started to rain, thunder and lightning hard and much fun was had by all. The smell of rain is one of my favorite things ever.

Then we went home and shower because we had a date! Brennon met this couple while knocking doors and they invited us to go to dinner with them. They were super nice. He is a full time musician in this band and the worship leader at there church. It was so nice and random for them to invite us-they really liked Brennon. It was way fun.
Then we came home and we fell asleep watching The Bourne Supremacy. We were tired from our busy day.

Olympus FE-210 AKA the greatest thing ever.

Today is a great day. Today is the day that we decided we needed a new camara. So, thanks to some people who gave us Target gift cards for our wedding, we purchased! I am in love with it. Our old camara, that we will now donate to the poor, was crap. Well, it survived Brennon's whole mission so now it decides when it does and does not want to be used. You have to have "the touch" to take a picture. So I belive a new camara was in order.

BEFORE:

Here she is with her scratched up exterior, a mesley 3.2 mega pixels and major bulkyness.

AFTER:

The new and improved Olympus FE-210! She's pretty, huh.

Hopefully this camara will survive longer than my other ones...My parents got me a digital camara for graduation. I took it to girls camp and got sand in it. My dad convinced the people to give us a new one and a couple weeks later....I dropped it. Yeah, Im a little bit of a klutz. So sue me. Luckily, I told Brennon this after we bought it. Sucker.

This weeks' happenings.

We had a pretty uneventful week but good nonetheless. Brennon made 5 sales and I got most of the thank you's out(finally). We watched the whole first season of Prison Break which was amazing. We were both so worn out from the intensity that we were a little glad it was over. Now were trying to find a new TV show to become addicted to.

I spent most of my time here. The not so glamorous life of a secretary.

We ran into a couple presidents at the local Scheels.

Ok this one's a little creepy.

Brennon's "Why do I have to pose by this stupid statue just for a dumb blog entry" face.

So I left him and fell in love with a bear.

Its real, people.

I also went and saw Hairspray with the girls here. And loved it. I mean whats not to like? Bringing the 60's to life through song and John Travolta dressed an obess women. Compelling stuff. But really, it was a very entertaining movie. Girls, don't bring ANY guy to this unless you want to let complaints and/or snickering ruin this glorious movie for you.

I call this one "Brennon's first day of school" face. Cute.
