Why do I even try?

Dang it. I'm dumb. I put a new background on as you can see and it erased my whole link list. and pretty much my whole side bar. Sad day... I think I should just leave all the background stuff to Kristal from now on...

Cute.

Tuesday night I came home from a busy nonstop day to find yellow tulips, my FAV flower, on our table. Awww. And for no reason. AND, he had dinner all ready. A yummy chicken stir fry dish. Isn't he just cute! Just thought I'de have a "husband recognition" post.

The Difference between my husband and I.

This morning, I awoke to find Brennnon in the kitchen making french toast. He has been looking forward to saturday morning all week because of the said french toast. We even got that thick bread that's really good for french toast.

Now when I wake up, I spend about an hour actually waking up because I am NOT a morning person. I'm grouchy and unproductive. When Brennon wakes up, he starts singing, dancing and in this mornings' case, doing that to a Backstreet Boys song.

B: Now throw your hands up in the ai-ar!(actually throwing his hands in the air)

D: What the...

B: Wave um around like ya just don't care-a!(actually throwing them around)

D: Shut up.

B: Backstreets back, ALRIGHT!(doing a dance move that no one should see)

D: I'm going back to bed.

He was also wearing an apron which made the whole thing even more entertaining.

Its good that he's a morning person or we would never get anything done on a Saturday. If I had my way, we would lay in bed all day.

Making up for my lack of posts.

First off, I hope you all saw my cute halloweeny background while it lasted. I got it off this website where she was "borrowing" them from shabbyprincess but then she was found out and so the great, easy to use, step by step blog layouts are no more. Hopefully Kristal will be helping me get a new one....

This weekend, we saw the dumbest movie EVER. Mr. Woodcock. Yeah, you would think the name would have done it in but no. I pretty much hate Billy Bob Thorton. But we had fabulous company, Rachel and Nathaniel. We ate at the California Pizza Kitchen. The boys shared a "man pizza" and we had our girly one. We discovered that Nathaniel's gay talk is a leetle too good.

Then Saturday we washed my mother's car for her late b-day present and also made it die. Sorry.

We had a very relaxing Saturday and didn't get that much done. Brennon watched football and we got caught up on a little cleaning. Then, my mom calls and says they got 2 extra tickets to Brian Regan!! We were SO excited cause I've been wanting to see him since like sophomore year. He was extremely hilarious and much fun was had by all.

Last weekend, or maybe it was two weekends ago, we went to the Hatch family reunion. It was at Fenway park. Random, but fun. Well, as far as reunions go.

Boston was goin to town on this cupcake. He was so determined to get to that cupcake, he climbed up the table. So we just let him go at it. Were going to be such good parents.

The sugar hi is winding down.

Then, the weekend or two before that, we went to the Adams reunion up in ShowLow. You pretty much have to go up the whole mountain to get there. Oh, but it was worth it.

The trek up the mountain. Not pictured: Kristal and I staying dry and warm under an awning and also being pansies.

All the crazy relatives in the background. They did cook a mean biscuits and gravy meal.

He's hard core.

We thought it was cute that we were both wearing our husbands school sweaters.

And one more for good measure.

And last and certainly least, the extent of my Halloween decorations. Pathetic huh.

That is all.

Bing Soo Love.

Last night, we went on a double date with Kayla and Zach. It was a sorta like a trip back to high school and we loved it.
First we went to get Bing Soo. What is Bing Soo you ask?

Its like this- shaved ice, frozen yogurt, fresh fruit, and pureed fruit in liquid form over the top. Then, you mix it all together with a big spoon and enjoy! Its pretty much amazing. And the atmosphere makes it even better. Its a cute little shop run by a bunch of Asians and they show Asian music videos on a projector against one of the walls. We entertained ourselves by narrating them. They also have chess and jenga, which we used to thier fullest.

Favorite quote of the night- Zach, while explaining the movie Stardust: "Its like The Princess Bride. Except with alot more violence. And blood. And gay guys."

Then we were gonna go see a movie but it didn't start til 9:40 and Brennon and I's bedtime is 10. So after much diliberation, we decided to play cards. Phase 10 to be exact. Well, Phase 5. Zach and I got killed.
I've decide that we need to go on more double dates Kayla.

Happy Birthday Mom!

Happy Happy Birthday mommy dear!

Happy days will came to you all year.

If I had a wish then it would be...

A happy happy birthday to you from me!

Today is my dear sweet mothers' birthday so I thought I would do a top ten favorite things about her post. (In no particular order)

1. Pretty much all of my favorite memories of her and I involve food in some way. My freshman year, we would go to Baja Fresh weekly and spend a couple hours eating our huge plate of nachos and conversing. Cookies, brownies, a great musical. Good times.

2. She LOVES teenagers. Now how many people can say that about there parents? She always invited my friends over and I would find this out from them! Haha I think most of my friends like her more than me. Esspecially the guys. One friend said that song "Stacies mom" should be changed to "Dani's mom".

3. She makes the best faces. Im talkin ugly people. I will never compare no matter how hard I try. My favorite is the curled lip under the gums. Classic. The fact that she does it with such confidence is what makes it so great. I can only do them in the mirror, all alone. With the doors locked.

4. Despite the talent for making ugly faces, she is GORGEOUS. Really. Just look at that picture! Oh, and by the way, people say we look alike.

5. She really taught me to love music. Some other favorite memories include dancing and singing in the kitchen, all singing show tunes around the piano, and her displaying her Joseph City High cheers. Something everyone should see at least once.

6. She is an awesome wife. She NEVER talks bad or complains about anything, even when though she's been bishops wife for many years of there marriage and loses him pretty much all day on Sunday. She is constantly serving him and wanting to make him happy. Hopefully some of it rubbed off on me.

7. She is laid back and patient. I think that is a requirement with such an estrogen-filled house. With the constant drama that is the Guttery house, she takes it like it is no big deal and handles with one thing at a time, something that is way hard for me.

8. She is a problem solver and easy to talk to. I have to talk to her everyday or it feels like something is missing inmy day. I remember in high school when I would have some boyfriend issue, I would almost always go and ask what she thought I should do. She really was and is concerned about my little stupid problems or secrets. I found that I usually should have followed her opinion when I didn't.

9. She is FUN! If you couldn't already tell from the above statements. She is always up for a good time. As a teenager she would take my friends and I TPing or any other havoc we wanted to reek. Actually, she usually suggested it. When she's around, you know your gonna laugh til your stomach hurts.

10. She LOVES the church and taught me to love it. Her strength is something I hope to have one day. She has given all her kids (and is still giving!) them an example of a unbelievably great women. I am so lucky and blessed to have her as a mom!

This list probabaly doesn't do her justice but at least the attempt was made! Love you mom and I hope you have a fabulous day!!

Tiggity tagged.

My mother tagged me through e-mail and I probably wouldn't have done it if I wasn't stuck in the house all day sick. And also the fact I have not too much to blog about. So here's to being sick and boring.

1. Who is your man? Brennon Wayne Fish
2. How long have you been together? about 15 months
3. Dating/Engaged/Married? We dated for about 8 months, engaged for 3, married a little over 4 months
4. How old is your man? 22 1/2

You or your man?

1. Who eats more? He definatly does. He is like my personal garbage disposal. If i don't want anything on my plate, almost garenteed he will eat it.
2. Who said "I love you" first? Definatly him, even though I wanted to say it way before he did. And he knew it! This is cheesy but, instead of saying "Love you" at the end of the night, we would say "like you". It felt weird not saying anything so we came up with that til we were both ready. Haha
3. Who weighs more? Yeah, i dont really like this question. But its definalty him. Marriage has put a little weight on both of us though.
4. Who sings better? I think he could if he would try! He has a good voice but everytime I tell him to sing normally, it comes out in this falsetto, half laughing noise. So I guess me until he learns that I think a good singing voice is sexy.
5. Who's Older? Him. But in maturity...thats a different story.
6. Who's smarter? Hmmm... probably him. We should take an IQ test to see. I can just hear the fight now...

Different Ways

1. Who's temper is worse? He has absoultly NO temper! Ive kind of tried to get him mad, just to see what its like but to no avail. He is the most even tempered person Ive ever met. So I guess the answer would be me.
2. Who does the laundry? Its pretty 50/50
3. Who does the dishes? Him mostly. He's a little particular about it and he knows I hate it.
4. Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? Me. Well, he just always sleeps closest to the door in case a burglar comes. Ha ha
5. Who mows the lawn? When the day finally comes that we have a lawn, however small it may be, he will. And he will take great pride in that small patch of grass.
6. Who pays the bills? He does. I'll forget.
7. Who cooks dinner? Me mostly. Lately I haven't been a very good wife in that aspect. There's been a lot of PB and J's. Sorry hun.
8. Who drives when you are together? He pretty much always does. I think my driving scares him.
9. Who pays when you go out to dinner? Him. And can I just say how nice it is to be married and not have to pretend to pull out my wallet to pay? I always did that when we were dating, just to be nice. Now our money's the same so I don't have to put in that unmeaningful effort.
10. Who's the most stubborn? Hmm.. i think we are pretty even on this one. We can both be kinda subborn at times but i think I give in alot easier because he is usually right.
11. Who is the first one to admit when they're wrong? Probably him. Even if he isn't and I just want him to be, he usually does.
12. Who's parents do you see more? Mine live closer so probably them.
13. Who kissed who first? I would say it was pretty mutual. I gave him all the right signs so all he had to do was lean in. Haha
14. Who asked who out? This is a little up for debate. He got my number the night he met me. He text me the next day and then the day after that. He said something like what are you doing tonight so I said something like oh nothing planned how about you. Somehow, it evolved into us going to chilies. But after that night, he asked me on a real date. So, i guess we'll never know.
15. What did you do? Well after the chilies night, which we like to call our pre-first date, he took me paddle boating on Tempe town lake, cold stone on Mill, the dollar theatre to see Nacho Libre, and back to his house for another movie. Needless to say, I got home pretty late.
16. Who has more friends? Umm... about equal but I get to see mine more often probably.
17. Who has more siblings? Me. I have 5 little sisters and he has 2 older brothers.
18. Who wears the pants in the relationship? Interesting question. I think our answers would be different. I should make him do this and see how much they differ. A post to come...

TMJ- What the crap.

So I just found out/concluded that I have TMJ. You know, the thing where you grind your teeth at night. Oh, so thats why I have headaches everyday and immense pain in my jaw and teeth area! So basically I have to wear a mouth guard at night which is really sexy. My mom now has reason for "I told you so's". If I would have got braces, like she said, and looked like a dork for a couple years this would not be happening. Mom's are always right.

So it is a constant battle trying not to grind my teeth like even during the day. I guess I just never realized that I did it. I guess this is my punishment for having basically perfect health my whole life. Oh and the whole headache thing. Being with 2 million 2 year olds a day doesn't reall help. I've just gotta get a years supply of IB profen and I'll be fine. (Kristal, don't let Jason read that.)

Alot of complaining on this blog as of late. Sorry. I love my life.

The big 3-0

I'm so excited because I am the first to post about this! And almost all the people sitting at the table are bloggers! I am on the ball. Anyways...

Friday night was my uncle Jason's birthday. So, we went to Buca di Beppo to partake of some wonderful food. Kristal only looks happy....

This was the whole group of us. I told Brennon to look like a deer in headlights, don't worry.

I would kind of like to cut out that love handle of mine. I need photo shop.

Then after dinner, we went to Jesterz the comedy club. Poor Jason. He had to tell about his day and the people who were with him and he forgot to mention his wife and brother...they had a hay day with that. Pretty much it was make fun of Jason night. As if turning 30 wasn't bad enough.

We ended our night at the Sugar Bowl, where we preceded to have our waitress fired. She was rude to the birthday boy! Anyways, after that we tried to get into some Kareoke(sp?) bars. But I ruined all the fun cause I'm a youngin of 20 years old. Sorry guys.

It was an awesome night! Thanks Kris for planning it!
